In the past I have always been a singer (not professionally) as a II Soprano in a church choir for 8 years along with altar singer, then a R&B singer in a church Hip Hop dance team, a soprano background singer in 1st band, 2nd band with some leads then the 3rd band I was lead. The only instrument experience was taking guitar lessons and playing as a beginner for a few months at church but I was a very unconfident person so I gave up. So this is my music experience other than my love and passion for music.
I feel like I have purpose again instead of the daily grind. Lessons were somewhat easy at first but started to get a little harder. My instructor was great he taught me how to read and write bass tabs and was patient with me. The reason I highly recommend taking lessons is to learn how to position your hands correctly, get feedback where you need to work on to get a good tone every time you practice.
Truly inspired.
