Jamming with Family in San Jo

Spent time in San Jose to meet my relatives for the first time at a mini reunion.  I met them on facebook so my 93 yr old uncle wanted a reunion.  We had a great time and I love them so much.  My relatives are musically inclined so we jammed in my uncle's front room with an array of songs and I was elated to hear they love my voice.  Once cousin told me that out of all of the relatives he never heard one of them with a voice as strong as mine.  I am completely humbled and hope that I do what I can to stay humble.  I love to sing so I did Linda Ronstad's Blue Bayou, 4 Non Blondes What's Up and Chaka Khan's Sweet Thing.

So much fun, I made a big pot of beans for the pot luck, Indian fry bread and huevos rancheros with my homemade enchilada sauce.  The boys can eat.  Coming from a Chicano and Native family I had to show off my skills - LOL, AQF!!!  (AQF is aye que funny spanglish for oh how funny).

Live your dream people!!

Practice #3

Practice was great!  We were able to go all of the way through the songs and this time we did all three songs with singing.  Lots more to do but when we finish these simple songs we will videotape them and post.
